- summer (April to October) - 20 € (full admission) & 10 € (reduced)

- winter (November to March) - 10 € (full admission) & 5 € (reduced)

Criteria for free admission are expected to change from April 2016, details awaited.

 

Free admission:

 - persons under 19

 - university students from Greece and the E.U.

 - members of the ICOM-ICOMOS

 - tour guides

 - journalists

 - persons possessing a free admission card

 

Free admission for all visitors on:

 - Sundays in the period between 1 November and 31 March

 - the first Sunday of every month except for July, August and September

    (when the first Sunday is a holiday, then the second is the free admission day, etc.)

 - national holidays (unless closed - see below)

 - 6 March (in memory of Melina Mercouri)

 - 18 April (International Monuments Day)

 - 18 May (International Museums Day)

 - 5 June (International Environment Day)

 - the last weekend of September every year (European Heritage Days)

 

Archaeological sites and museums remain closed on the following days:

 - 1st January, 25th March, Good Friday (from 12:00), Easter Sunday, 1st May, 25th December, 26th December.
